Captain’s Drive In!
At the third time of asking, the Golfing Gods finally chose to shine their light on Margaret & Seamie! A beautiful Spring day brought out the Castlecomer faithful in excellent numbers for the official start to the golfing year and If the arrival of the Captains today is anything to by, we are in for a spectacular year of golf! Chauffeur driven in a 1980 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow, (courtesy of Mr. Ned Kelly) sipping champagne en route, proceedings were more akin to a royal wedding than a sporting occassion! Once the golf got underway, the good conditions ensured a high scoring day. The eventual winners were Michael Curry, Michael Furlong, Gerry O’Neill and Ann O’Neill.
